I grew up a city girl in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and was involved in the arts from an early age. I was lucky enough to try my hand at the piano and fine arts at the Harrisburg Arts Magnet School from Middle School through High School. In High School, I settled on acting as the craft I wanted to study seriously. Upon graduation, though, I decided to take the "safe route" and train in technical theatre and stage management at Point Park College in Pittsburgh, PA. When the urge to act was just too intense to ignore, I transferred to West Virigina University where I was awarded a full tuition scholarship. I graduated Cum Laude with a BFA in Acting from the Professional Actors Training Program and then bounced back and forth between Pittsburgh and Detroit winning roles in Theatre, Commercials and Industrials in both cities. Ending up in Detroit, I married my college sweetheart, Mark Finnell, and within 6 months - and not too excited about braving another Michigan winter - we decided to move to sunny Los Angeles and take our chances.
Within a year of arriving, I acquired my SAG card on the set of the Showtime remake of "Inherit the Wind" starring George C. Scott, Jack Lemmon, Piper Laurie and Kathryn Morris. I played the (uncredited) Stenographer. Since I've been in Los Angeles, I've garnered great reviews as Katharine Hepburn in the World Premiere of "Spinelli", shared a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Producing "Gorey Stories" at Sacred Fools Theatre, have performed in many plays, done a few commercials, shot some short films, associate-produced the series "Straight From The Heart" and even run a marathon! I was also very fortunate to be on an Emmy Award-winning comedy - for one season - recurring in the role of Ned's Mother on the hit show "Pushing Daisies." Phew!
